Super League 2 Secures Broadcast Partner for 2025/26 Season

The official broadcaster for the upcoming 2025/26 Super League 2 season has been confirmed, ending weeks of speculation about the television rights holder.

Action 24 to Air Super League 2 Matches

Although the Super League 2 season kicked off last week, the channel responsible for televising the games remained undecided until recently. On September 18, it was officially announced that Action 24 will be the exclusive broadcaster for the second-tier Greek football league.

Fans can look forward to live coverage starting this weekend, with key fixtures such as PAOK B vs. Anagennisi Karditsas and Panionios vs. Athens Kallithea scheduled for broadcast.

Updated Match Schedule and Broadcast Details

The Super League 2 organization released a statement outlining changes to the second matchday fixtures for the 2025-26 season:

  • Group A: The game between PAOK B and Anagennisi Karditsas will take place at the M.G.S. Apollon Kalamarias Stadium on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 14:00, moved earlier from the original 17:00 kickoff. This match will be televised live on Action 24.
  • Group B: Panionios will host Athens Kallithea FC at the Panionios Stadium on Sunday, September 21, 2025, also starting at 14:00 instead of 17:00, with live coverage on Action 24.
  • Additionally, the Marko vs. Ilioupoli match is scheduled for Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 17:00 at the Markopoulo Municipal Stadium, but will be played behind closed doors without spectators.
  • The Hellas Syrou vs. Olympiakos B fixture will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 17:00 at the Ilioupoli Municipal Stadium.

Significance of the Broadcast Deal

This partnership with Action 24 marks a significant step in increasing the visibility of Super League 2, which has seen growing interest in recent years. According to recent data, viewership for second-division football in Greece has risen by over 20% compared to the previous season, reflecting fans’ eagerness for more accessible coverage.

Similar to how the English Football League secured a dedicated channel to boost its profile, this move is expected to enhance fan engagement and provide greater exposure for emerging talents in Greek football.
