Following the summer hiatus, the Olympiacos Veterans made a triumphant return to the pitch on Monday at Kallithea’s Municipal Stadium “Gr. Lambrakis,” where they faced the Kallithea Veterans in a memorable encounter. This match marked the 703rd friendly in the Olympiacos Veterans Association’s history, culminating in a 5-2 win for the “red and whites.” The game was held in honor of the late Nikos Salevris, former president of Kallithea, celebrating his lasting impact on the local football community.

The event was jointly organized by the Municipality of Kallithea and the Kallithea Sports Club, who took the opportunity to recognize the Olympiacos Veterans for their enduring influence on Greek football. Mayor Kostas Askounis and Deputy Mayor Giorgos Margomenos presented commemorative plaques to the Olympiacos Veterans Association, with President Giannis Gaitatzis accepting on behalf of the team. In a gesture of mutual respect, the Kallithea Veterans honored Olympiacos captain Nikos Vamvakoulas with a special plaque. The ceremony also featured a moving speech by Antonis Glykas, General Secretary of the Olympiacos Veterans, expressing gratitude and camaraderie.
