Kirill Despodov, the Bulgarian star of PAOK, is making a remarkable transition from the football pitch to the business arena by launching a company with a capital of €500,000, aiming to establish a strong foothold in real estate and investment sectors.
Just one day following PAOK’s thrilling 2-1 victory over Olympiacos at Toumba Stadium, the Bulgarian international took a significant step by founding “KD11 Investment.” This move marks his official entry into entrepreneurship. The company’s name, featuring the number “11,” is a nod to his birthdate (11/11/1996), but this time, the figure represents a substantial investment portfolio worth half a million euros.
Headquartered in Thessaloniki, KD11 Investment will focus on property investment, development, and management, with a particular emphasis on short-term rental services facilitated through digital platforms. The company’s charter outlines a broad spectrum of activities, including property sales and leasing, construction and renovation projects, as well as providing technical and engineering consultancy for civil engineering works.
Thessaloniki was strategically chosen as the company’s base, reflecting Despodov’s personal connection to Northern Greece. The city lies just a two-hour drive from Kresna, his hometown, and he has expressed a strong affinity for the region, viewing it as fertile ground for both professional growth and personal fulfillment.
As the sole shareholder and manager of KD11 Investment, Despodov embarks on his first major business venture. While maintaining his pivotal role in PAOK’s starting lineup, the 28-year-old winger is clearly preparing to make his mark off the field as well, demonstrating a keen acumen for investment and enterprise.
With this bold initiative, Despodov showcases that his entrepreneurial instincts are as sharp as his football skills. However, this time, the “goals” he aims to score will be measured in square meters rather than on the scoreboard.
